Welcome to Develop Quincy

This is the forum for discussing matters related to development issues in downtown Quincy. You may have read our series CitySmarts in 2004. In fact, we provide a link to that from this report. But planners have come up with new ideas for the downtown, and here is your chance to comment and keep the discussion going.

The redevelopment of Quincy Center including the construction of the concourse is a positive development for the city. Redevelopment could add to Quincy’s tax base; it has been burdened by the closing of the big stores downtown and middle class flight. The construction of the concourse would be a positive development, because Rt. 3A coming from the South Shore does not have a direct connection to Quincy Center; the concourse could relieve traffic congestion on I-93 at the Neponset Bridge.
